Computer problems
You can solve this problem be performing any of the following procedures:
Option 1
1. Click Start
2. Click “Control Panel”
3. Double click on “Add or Remove Programs”
4. When the “Add or Remove Programs” window appears, click on the “Add Programs” icon on the left pane
5. Install “Ad-Aware Personal SE”
6. Click the “add” button
7. To run the program, click on “Start”
8. Click on “All Programs”
9. Hover mouse over “Lavasoft Ad-Aware Personal SE”
10. When the menu expands, click on “Lavasoft Ad-Aware Personal SE”
11. Click the “start” button
12. Select “Perform Full System Scan”
13. The program will now scan your entire computer for any signs of these ‘mini programs’
14. When it has found these programs, it will give you the option to delete what files Ad-Aware has found
15. Once Ad-Aware has deleted these files and click “ok”.
16. Close the program
17. Restart the Computer
Option 2
1. Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool. Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator
2. Click on the Scan button.
3. AdwCleaner will begin
4. After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.
5. see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
6. Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
7. A copy of all logfiles is saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.
8. Last run ESET
1. Hold down Control and click on this link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window
2. Click the button
3. Click esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe to download the ESET Smart Installer.
1. Save to your desktop
4. Double click on the icon on your desktop
5. Check "Yes, I accept the Terms of Use"
6. Click the Start button
7. Accept any security warnings from your browser
8. Under scan settings, check "Scan Archives" and "Remove found threats"
9. ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
10. When the scan completes, click List Threats
11. Click Export, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
12. Click the Back button.
13. Click the Finish button.
